The title compound is prepared in analogy to 3-[2-ethyl-4-(N-hydroxycarbamimidoyl)-6-methyl-phenyl]-propionic acid starting from 3,5-dimethyl-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde; LC-MS: tR=0.57 min, [M+1]+=237.02; 1H NMR (D6-DMSO): δ2.29 (s, 6H), 2.30-2.36 (m, 2H), 2.80-2.87 (m, 2H), 5.66 (s, 2H), 7.30 (s, 2H), 9.46 (s, 1H).
