A mixture of 4-((S)-4-Chloro-1-methoxy-2-nitro-6,7-dihydro-5H-benzocyclohepten-7-yl)-morpholine (12 mg, 0.035 mmol) and 20% Pd(OH)2/C (9 mg) in Methanol (4 mL), was placed under a blanket of Hydrogen at atmospheric pressure. After 16 h, the reaction was filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure to give (S)-1-Methoxy-7-morpholin-4-yl-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-5H-benzocyclohepten-2-ylamine.
