Procedure

To the above solution of [2-(2,2-Dimethoxy-ethylamino)-5,5-dimethyl-4,5-dihydro-3H benzo[b]azepin-8-yl]-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester was added conc HCl (25 ml) and heating was continued at 80° C. for 16 h. Product LCMS=228.20 (M+H).
