Procedure
To a solution of 5-[3-(4-fluoro-phenyl)-5-methyl-isoxazol-4-ylmethoxy]-2H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid methyl ester (200 mg, 0.6 mmol) in dioxane (5 mL) was added aqueous sodium hydroxide (2 M, 3.0 mL, 6.0 mmol). After heating at 90° C. for 2 h the solution was cooled to room temperature and neutralized with aqueous hydrogen chloride (2 N). The precipitate was then filtered off and dried to afford the title compound (191 mg, 100%) as a white solid.
