Titanium tetrachloride (28 mL) and morpholine (mL) were added in that order to a toluene (1.5 L) solution of 1-{4-[(triisopropylsilyl)oxy]phenyl}propan-1-one (130 g, 0.424 mol) synthesized in Reference Example 1-2-(1), and stirred at 130° C. for 12 hours. After cooled with ice, the insoluble matter in the reaction liquid was removed by filtration through Celite, and the mother liquid was concentrated to obtain a crude product (193 g) of the intended compound.
