{1-[9-((1R,2S,3R,4S)-2,3-Dihydroxy-4-propionylamino-cyclopentyl)-6-(2,2-diphenyl-ethyl-amino)-9H-purin-2-yl]-piperidin-4-yl}-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester trifluoroacetate (0.02 g, 0.03 mmol) is dissolved in HCl (1 ml of a 1.25 M solution in methanol) and allowed to stand at room temperature overnight. The solvent is removed in vacuo to yield the titled compound.
