To 1-(4-chloro-2-phenylamino-phenyl)-3-[4-(4-hydroxypiperidine-1-sulfonyl)-phenyl]propan-1-one (0.200 g) in toluene (20 mL) was added 2-oxopropanoyl chloride (0.427 g). The reaction mixture was heated at 120° C. for 3 h, then stirred at RT overnight to produce N-(5-chloro-2-{3-[4-(4-hydroxypiperidine-1-sulfonyl)-phenyl]-propionyl}-phenyl)-2-oxo-N-phenyl-propionamide, which was used without further purification.
