In analogy to the procedure described in example 409f, (2S,4R)-4-methanesulfonyl-pyrrolidine-1,2-dicarboxylic acid 1-tert-butyl ester 2-methyl ester (example 409c) was reacted with trifluoroacetic acid to give the title compound as brown solid.
