To a solution of Example X (2.9 g, 10 mmol) in THF (50 mL) was added a solution of 1-naphthyl isocyanate (1.7 g, 10 mmol) in THF (20 mL) at 0° C. The mixture was stirred at RT for 1 h and heated until all solids dissolved. The mixture was then stirred at RT for 3 h and poured into water (200 mL). The precipitate was filtered, washed with diluted HCl and H2O, dried under vacuum to give 4.3 g of 4-[3-t-butyl-5-(3-naphthalen-1-yl-ureido)-pyrazol-1-yl]-benzoic acid ethyl ester, which was used without further purification.
