PROCEDURE

0.3 ml of methyl iodide and 0.8 g of NaHCO3 are added to a solution of 1 g of the compound of Example 1 in 25 ml of ethanol. After reaction for 24 hours at ambient temperature, the reaction mixture is concentrated under reduced pressure and then the residue is taken up in a mixture of water and dichloromethane. After extraction, drying and filtration, the organic phase is concentrated under reduced pressure. Crystallisation from a solution of ethanol and ethereal hydrogen chloride enables the expected product to be obtained.
