Procedure
In a manner similar to that described in Example 9A, treat each of the 1,4,6-pregnatriene-3,20-dione derivatives prepared in Example 13A(1) with dry hydrogen iodide in glacial acetic acid. Isolate and purify each of the resultant products in a manner similar to that described to obtain the 7α-iodo derivative of each of the 1,4-pregnadiene-3,20-dione starting compounds of Example 13A(1), respectively.
