10.0 g of 4-methyl-3-decen-5-ol and 12.7 g of ethyl vinyl ether are reacted analogously to Example 9 to give 9.7 g of 5-[1'-ethoxyethoxy]-4-methyl-3-decene, boiling point 115° C./12 Torr, nD20 =1.4349, odour: green, bitterish, citrus-like, reminiscent of chocolate.
