C-(6-Benzenesulfonyl-naphthalen-1-yl)-methylamine is dissolved in pyridine and acetyl chloride is added. The reaction mixture is stirred at room temperature and then quenched by addition of water. The mixture is extracted with EtOAc, and the organic layer is dried (MgSO4), filtered, and concentrated under reduced pressure to give N-(6-benzenesulfonyl-naphthalen-1-ylmethyl)-acetamide.
