5.4 g of the compound obtained in Example 2 was dissolved in a 25% solution of hydrogen bromide in acetic acid. After the lapse of 2 hours, 15 ml of acetic acid was added to the solution and the resulting mixture was stirred for an hour. After the addition of ether, the precipitated crystals were separated by filtration and washed with ether to obtain 4.0 g of the desired compound.
