Reaction Steps
The compound obtained in Example 7 was reacted with ethyl benzylpyruvate in the same manner as described in Example 9. Thus, there was obtained 5-t-butoxycarbonylmethyl-3-(1-ethoxycarbonyl-3-phenylpropylamino)-2,3-dihydro-1,5-benzothiazepin-4(5H)-one in the form of an oily material.
