Procedure
5-Chlorosulfonyl-naphthalene-1-carboxylic acid 45 (2.00 g, 7.39 mmol) was dissolved in dichloromethane (30 mL). Triethylamine (2.24 g, 3.1 mL, 22.2 imnol) was added followed by 4-amino-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (1,63 g, 8.13 mmol). The reaction was stirred overnight at room temperature. The reaction was diluted with dichloromethane (50 mL) and charged to a separatory funnel. The organic layer was washed twice with water and brine and dried over MgSO4. Filtration and concentration in vacuo afforded 46 (3.0 g, 93%) as a yellow foam. 1H NMR (300 MHz, d6-DMSO) δ 9.11 (d, 1H), 8.62 (d, 1H), 8.15 (d, 1H), 7.90 (d, 1H), 7.62 (m, 2H), 3.91 (d, 1H), 3.62 (m, 2H), 3.15 (m, 1H), 2.67 (m, 2H), 1.89 (m, 2H), 1.52 (m, 2H), 1.40 (s, 9H); LC/MS m/z 435 (M+H)+.
