240 mg of 4-(1,3-dihydro-1,3-dioxo-2H-benz[f]isoindol-2-yl)-2-[[3-methyl-1-[[(2-morpholin-4-yl-ethyl)amino]carbonyl]butyl]amino]-butanoic acid-1,1-dimethylethyl ester from part (A), was dissolved in TFA:H20 (9:1) and allowed to stand for 20 h. The solvents were removed by evaporation, and the resulting oil was purified by reverse phase H.P.L.C. The solvents were removed by lyopholization to give the title compound as a white solid; 145 mg.
