Procedure
A solution of 7-Methyl-2-propyl-3-(2'-(tetrazol-5-yl)biphen-4-yl)methyl-3H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridine (9 mg) and m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid (6 mg) CHCl3 (2 mL) was heated to reflux for 2 hours. Concentration and purification (SiO2, 80:20:1 CH2Cl2 /MeOH/NH4OH) gave 4 mg of the title compound as a solid. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CD3OD) δ 8.07 (d, 1H, J=6 Hz), 7.60-7.43 (m, 4H), 7.19, (d, 1 H, J=6 Hz), 7.09 (s, 4H), 6.14 (s, 2H), 2.82 (t, 2H, J=7.5 Hz), 2.63 (s, 3H), 1.81-1.67 (m, 2H), 0.98 (t, 3H, J=7.5 Hz).
