Reaction Steps
The synthesis of this compound is carried out as described in Example 1, Step E except that the ethyl 7-{N-[4-hydroxy-5-(4-fluorophenoxy)pentyl]methanesulfonamido} -heptanoate is replaced by an equimolar amount of methyl 7-{N-[4-acetoxy-5-(4-fluorophenoxy)pentyl]methanesulfonamido}-hept- 5-ynoate and the amount of sodium hydroxide is doubled. The product of this reaction is the subject compound.
