Procedure
306 mgm (1millimol) of [1-(2'-fluoro-4-biphenylyl)-ethylsulfinyl]-acetic acid and 0.15 ml of triethylamine were dissolved in 2 ml of chloroform, and 0.15 ml of chloroformic acid methyl ester was added to the solution at room temperature. After 30 minutes of standing, the mixture was washed with water, dried and evaporated, and the residue was recrystallized from 1 ml. of isopropanol. Yield: 200 mgm (62.5% of theory); m.p. 75°-78° C.
