About 0.5 mol of fine granular sodium metasilicate pentahydrate, 0.5 mol of phenol and 1 mol of silicon tetrachloride are slowly added while agitating at ambient temperature and pressure for 1 to 2 hours; the reaction is complete in 2 to 8 hours, thereby producing white granules of phenol chlorosilicon acid resinous product and sodium chloride. To this resinous product, 1 mol of a nitrile, acetonitrile, is added while agitating and keeping the temperature below the boiling temperature of the mixture for 1 to 2 hours; the reaction is complete in 2 to 8 hours, thereby producing an organic silicon acid resinous product. The resinous product is washed with water and filtered to remove the salt.
