Procedure

A solution of 250 mg (0.67 mmol) of 5-hydroxy-8-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)-1-thioxo-7-trifluoromethyl[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]quinoxalin-4(5H)-one and 360 mg (1.37 mmol) of triphenylphosphine was stirred at 140° C. for 20 h. The solution was evaporated to dryness, and the solid residue was triturated with small portions of cold dichloromethane to give the crude product. Recrystallization from ethanol gave 90 mg (40%) of pure title compound. M.p.>300° C.
