Reaction Steps
0.39 ml of a 4N solution of hydrogen chloride in dioxane was added to a solution of 192 mg (0.39 mmol) of N-{2-[3-(1-imidazolyl)propyl]oxymethyl-6-isopropyl-phenyl}-2-(9H-xanthen-9-yl)acetamide (prepared as described in Example 195) in 2 ml of methylene chloride, and the resulting mixture was freed from the solvent by distillation under reduced pressure. The resulting residue was dissolved in a small amount of dioxane and, after water had been added, the resulting mixture was lyophilized, to give 206 mg of the title compound as a powder.
