Procedure
This compound was prepared with the same method as for the preparation of the methionine derivative (see Example 26, section D), using 4-[2(R)-amino-3-mercaptopropyl]amino-2-phenylbenzoyl-(S)-leucine methyl ester hydrochloride and lithium hydroxide. 1H NMR (CD3OD) δ 7.42 (d, 8.5 Hz, 1H), 7.29-7.38 (m, 5H), 6.73 (d, 8.5 Hz, 1H), 6.66 (s, 1H), 4.32 (dd, 3.3 and 5.9 Hz, 1H), 3.41-3.57 (m, 3H), 2.94 (dd, 4.3 and 14.5 Hz, 1H), 2.78 (5.2 and 14.5 Hz, 1H), 1.45 (t, 6.7 Hz, 2H), 1.17-1.26 (m, 1H), 0.78-0.83 (t, 8.5 Hz, 6H).
