Procedure
A mixture of 2.0 g (8.4 mmol) of ethyl 6-hydroxybenzothiophene-3-carbamate (obtained in Stage 13.5. of Example 13), 2.4 g (12.6 mmol) of 4,4,4-trifluoro-1-bromobutane and 2.3 g (16.8 mmol) of potassium carbonate in 30 ml of acetonitrile is heated at reflux for 90 min. The mixture is evaporated under reduced pressure and the residue is triturated in petroleum ether. 2.65 g of product are obtained.
