Procedure
To a solution of 1-(4-(4-piperidinyloxy)-2-(trifluoromethoxy)phenylacetyl)-2-carbamoyl-4-(2-methylphenyl)piperazine hydrochloride (0.30 g, 0.5 mmol) from Example 33 in CH2Cl2 (50 mL) was added acetic anhydride (0.10 mL, 1.0 mmol) and DIEA (0.17 mL, 1.0 mmol). The solution was stirred at ambient temperature for 1 h and the solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The residue was dissolved in EtOAc (100 mL) and washed with 0.25 M aqueous citric acid (50 mL), H2O (25 mL), and saturated aqueous NaHCO3 (75 mL). The organic phase was dried (MgSO4), filtered, and the solvent was removed under reduced pressure to give the title compound as an amorphous solid.
