A mixture of 4-chloro-5,6-dimethyl-2-phenylpyrimidine (1.8 g), 2-amino-3-benzyloxy-N,N-dipropylpropanamide (4.6 g), which is prepared from N-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-O-benzylserine, and triethylamine (1.7 g) is stirred at 150° C. for 5 hours. The reaction mixture is treated in the same manner as in Example 1 to give 3-benzyloxy-2-(5,6-dimethyl-2-phenyl-4-pyrimidinylamino)-N,N-dipropylpropanamide (3.5 g) as an oily product.
