Reaction Steps
Following a procedure similar to that described in Example 1(a), but using 513 mg of 2-[(1-(5-phenyl-2-pyridyl)ethylideneaminooxy]ethanol (prepared as described in Preparation 39), 1.02 g of 5-(4-hydroxybenzyl)-3-tritylthiazolidine-2,4-dione, 577 mg of triphenylphosphine and 383 mg of diethyl azodicarboxylate, 1.40 g of the title compound were obtained as a foam-like solid.
