Procedure
Methyl (1S)-2-(3-benzyl-3,8-diazabicyclo[3.2.1]oct-8-y)-1-[(4-cyanophenoxy)methyl]ethylcarbamate (2.9 g, 6.7 mmol; from step (g) above) was mixed with MeOH (55 mL) and 1 M HCl (13 mL). The mixture was hydrogenated over 5% Pd/C. Filtration through a pad of Celite® and evaporation gave the title compound in 86% yield.
