Reaction Steps

Oxone (4.61 g, 7.5 mmol) was dissolved in water (20 mL) and saturated NaHCO3/H2O was added until the mixture was basic. A solution of 8c (1.35 g, 2.5 mmol) in acetone (20 mL) was added and the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hr. The reaction mixture was filtered, and the filtrate was evaporated to give 8d (1.31 g, 92%). MS (CI) m/z 571.30 (MH+).
