Reaction Steps
Prepared from methyl 3-[1,2,4]triazol-4-yl-benzoate [prepared by reaction of 3-aminobenzoic acid with hydrazine hydrate and triethyl orthoformate in acetic acid at 120° C., followed by esterification with conc. H2SO4 in refluxing MeOH] by treatment with lithium tert.-butyl acetate according to general procedure H (method b). Obtained as a light yellow gum (870 mg).
