To N-[6-(1-tert-butyloxycarbonyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridin-4-yl)-5-methylpyridin-3-yl]-5-methyl-1-[5-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-2-yl]-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxamide (3.4 g) were added dichloromethane (63 ml) and trifluoroacetic acid (13 ml), stirred at room temperature for 2 hours, and then to the reaction solution was added 4 N aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide under ice-cooling. The precipitated solid was washed with ethanol and water to give the titled compound (2.6 g) as a white solid.
