To a solution of 4-(5-amino-3-methylpyridin-2-yl)piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (4.4 g) in pyridine (50 ml) was added 5-methyl-1-[5-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-2-yl]-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid chloride (5.16 g) described in Reference Example 180 at 0° C., and stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. To the reaction solution was added triethylamine (6.33 ml), then water was added thereto, and the precipitated solid was washed with water and ethyl acetate to give N-[6-(1-tert-butyloxycarbonylpiperidin-4-yl)-5-methylpyridin-3-yl]-5-methyl-1-[5-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-2-yl]-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxamide (7.0 g) as a pale yellow solid.
