Procedure
A mixed solution of (E)-3-(2-(1-(tert-butyl)-5-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)thiazol-4-yl)acrylic acid (70 mg, 0.18 mmol) and 10% palladium carbon (19.43 mg, 0.18 mmol) in THF (2 mL) and methanol (2 mL) was stirred under 1 atm hydrogen atmosphere at room temperature for 14 hr. The catalyst was filtered off, and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was crystallized from diethyl ether to give 3-(2-(1-(tert-butyl)-5-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)thiazol-4-yl)propanoic acid (62.0 mg, 0.161 mmol, 88%) as a white powder.
