To a solution of tert-butyl N-{4,4-difluoro-2-[2-(2H-1,2,3-triazol-2-yl)benzamido]cyclopentyl}carbamate (640 mg, 1.57 mmol) in dry 1,4-dioxane (5 ml) was added HCl in 1,4-dioxane (4M, 3.9 ml, 15.71 mmol). The reaction was stirred at room temperature for 6 hours then concentrated in vacuo and azeotropically distilled with toluene to afford the title compound.
