A solution of N-[(1S,2S)-2-aminocyclopentyl]-2-(2H-1,2,3-triazol-2-yl)benzamide hydrochloride (Intermediate 4; 100 mg, 0.33 mmol), 2,3-difluoro-5-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine (CAS number 89402-42-6; 65 mg, 0.36 mmol) and DIPEA (42 mg, 0.33 mmol) in dry DMSO (1.1 ml) was subjected to microwave irradiation at 140° C. for 1 hour. The reaction was filtered through cotton wool before being purified by reverse phase preparative HPLC (eluted with acetonitrile/water containing 0.1% ammonia) to afford the title compound.
