Procedure

Following General Procedure A (120° C., 30 hours), phenyl acetylene (84 μL, 1.5 mmol) is coupled with iodo-benzene (112 μL, 1.0 mmol) to give 95% yield 1,1′-ethyne-1,2-diyldibenzene.
