5-(4-Methoxy-benzyl)-7-morpholin-4-yl-2-(2-quinolin-2-yl-ethyl)-3,5-dihydro-2H-pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyridine-1,6-dione (30 mg, 0.059 mmol, see Example 14) was dissolved in TFA (30 ml), stirred and heated to about 100° C. for about 12 h. LC-MS analysis indicated complete conversion. The crude material was purified via preparative thin-layer chromatography (MeOH/DCM=10:90) to give the title compound (17 mg, 0.043 mmol, 73.4% yield).
