N-Fmoc-[phenyl (2,3,4-trioctadecanoxyphenyl)methyl]amine (830 mg, 684 μmol) obtained in Example 2 was dissolved in chloroform (10 ml) and acetonitrile (6 ml), diethylamine (2.04 ml, 1.97 mmol) was added dropwise and the mixture was stirred for 5 hr. The solvent was evaporated, and the residue was washed with acetonitrile (10 ml) to give [phenyl(2,3,4-trioctadecanoxyphenyl)methyl]amine (668 mg, 696 μmol, yield 99%).
