A mixture of tert-butyl 1-(8-(5,6-dimethoxypyridin-2-ylamino)imidazo[1,2-b]pyridazin-6-yl)piperidin-3-ylcarbamate (300 mg, 0.64 mmol) and TFA (5 mL) in dichloromethane (5 mL) was stirred at 25° C. for 6 h. The residue was concentrated to give the crude 6-(3-aminopiperidin-1-yl)-N-(5,6-dimethoxypyridin-2-yl)imidazo[1,2-b]pyridazin-8-amine trifluoroacetate salt (350 mg, crude) as a brown liquid that was used directly without further purification.
