The compound was prepared as in Example 5 from 1-(4-(3-carbomethoxypropoxy)phenyl] propan-2-one (6.0 g) and 2-hydroxy-2-phenyl ethanamine (3.29 g) and crystallised from hexane m.p. 60°-76° as a 1:1 mixture of diastereoisomers.
