Following General Procedure II-A, Method B and using N-(3-methyl-2-(S)-(2-trimethylsilylethyloxy)methyloxybutyl)-L-alanine, methyl ester (Intermediate A, Step C; 1 eq), the free acid was prepared. The residue was used, following General Procedure D, and using 3-amino-2,4-dioxo-1-methyl-5-phenyl-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1H-1,5-benzodiazepine (CAS No. 131604-75-6) to prepare the title intermediate.
