To a solution of ethyl 2-(3-bromo-2,4,5-trifluorobenzoyl)-3-cyclopropylaminoacrylate (1.35 g) in anhydrous dimethylformamide (5 ml) was added sodium fluoride (0.23 g). The mixture was stirred at 97°-108° C. for 7.5 hours, and then poured into ice water (50 ml) and the resulting precipitate was collected by filtration, washed with water and recrystallized from dichloro-methane-n-hexane to give the title compound (1.05 g), mp 163.5°-168° C. as colorless prisms.
