Procedure

Sodium borohydride (6 mg, 0.15 mmol) was added in one portion to a stirred solution of 4-(5-Methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-ylamino)-2-(2-oxo-2-phenyl-ethyl)-2H-phthalazin-1-one (17 mg, 0.05 mmol) (Example E-9) in tetrahydrofuran (THF) (1 ml). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for two hours. After this time LC-MS indicated complete consumption of starting material, methanol (0.5 ml) was added and the reaction mixture was concentrated under vacuum. The resulting residue was purified by flash column chromatography (elution: 97% dichloromethane (DCM), 3% methanol (MeOH)) to give the title compound (2.2 mg, 12% yield) as a white solid. MS (ESI+)=(M+H)+ 361.98.
