Reaction Steps
4-{3-[2-(3-Fluoro-4-methoxyphenyl)vinyl]-4-methoxyphenoxy}-5-methyl-7-nitroindane was prepared in a similar manner to those described in Reference Example 15 using 2-methoxy-5-(5-methyl-7-nitroindan-4-yloxy) benzaldehyde instead of 2-benzyloxy-5-(5-methyl-7-nitroindan-4-yloxy) benzaldehyde and using (3-fluoro-4-methoxybenzyl)triphenylphosphonium bromide instead of furfuryltriphenylphosphonium bromide.
