The title compound was prepared from 4-hydroxyindole and 3-(2,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-2-cyano-acrylic acid ethyl ester by a procedure similar to that described for Example 16 in 2.6% yield. 1H NMR (CDCl3): 8.64 (s, 1H), 7.33-7.31 (m, 1H), 7.29-7.24 (m, 1H), 7.10-7.01 (m, 4H), 6.83-6.82 (m, 1H), 3.82 (s, 3H), 3.77 (s, 3H).
