Procedure
A solution of 1.60 g of t-butyl [[1-[(4R)-1-(p-amidino-benzyl)-4-hydroxy-L-prolyl]-4-piperidinyl]oxy]acetate in 20 ml of dichloromethane and 20 ml of trifluoroacetic acid is stirred at room temperature for 2 hours and evaporated. The residue is dissolved in ethanol and treated with ether. Suction filtration and drying of the precipitate gives 1.25 g of [[1-[(4R)-1-(p-amidino-benzoyl)-4-hydroxy-L-prolyl]-4-piperidinyl]oxy]acetic acid trifluoroacetate. M.p. 220° C.
