Reaction Steps
A solution of 2.8 g of the product from Step C for 1 hour in 40 ml of ethanol and 7.6 ml of tert-butylamine was heated at 80° C. under an inert atmosphere with stirring and after purification by chromatography over silica (eluent:ethyl acetate--triethylamine, 9-1, then chloroform-methanol 5-5), 3.05 g of N-[2-[3-[(1,1-dimethylethyl)amino]-2-hydroxypropoxy]phenyl]-1H-indol-4-carboxamide were obtained (amorphous beige--colored powder).
