Procedure

3.1 g of 2-[(2-oxiranyl)methoxy]-N-(1H-indol-4-yl) benzamide prepared as in example 4 is heated for 2 hours to reflux in 60 cm3 of ethanol and 8.5 cm3 of n-propylamine. The solvent are eliminated under reduced pressure at 50° C., the residue is chromatography on silica (eluent:chloroform-methanol 7-3) to obtain 2.8 g of 2-[2-hydroxy-3-(propylamino)-propoxy]-N-(1H-indol-4-yl) benzamide.

Workup

  1. temperatureis heated for 2 hours
  2. customare eliminated under reduced pressure at 50° C.
