To a solution of N-(2,6-difluoro-3-hydroxy-phenyl)-6-fluoro-3-(3-fluorophenyl)-2-methyl-benzamide (400 mg, 1.06 mmol, 1.0 eq) in THF (5 mL) under N2 was added a solution of BH3 (1M in THF, 5.3 mL, 5.3 mmol, 5.0 eq). The reaction mixture was heated at 60° C. overnight, then quenched by addition of methanol and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by column chromatography (petroleum ether: EtOAc, 50:1 to 20:1) to give title compound as colorless oil (230 mg, 59%).
